(Nancy) Pratt; daughter Renee (Larry) Jachimowicz; grandchildren Elizabeth and Emily Jachimowicz, James and Eric Pratt, Chris, Nathan, and Larry Jachimowicz, Naomi Ashley and Crystal Pooler; sister Maryanne (Raymond) Marks. Beverly was born in Cortland, NY in 1933 and moved to Binghamton with her parents David and Doris Stevison and sister Maryanne. She graduated from Binghamton Central High in 1951. She worked at Fowler Dick & Walker in the advertising department until she met and married Richard in 1956. Beverly loved sewing, crocheting and crafting. She was always busy with a project. She became very active with the JCHS music department, where she devoted countless hours sewing costumes for the musicals, Sophisticats and flags for the marching band. Beverly made some very important friends during this time. She welcomed all to her home and sewing workshop. After her eyesight diminished and she could no longer see the stitches, she began to paint. Beverly turned her sewing room into her art studio. Bev truly loved painting. She got such satisfaction from painting that a half an hour would quickly turn into hours a day of painting. The time would just fly by for her doing what she loved. During the last years of her life, she created over 300 paintings. Her granddaughters Elizabeth and Emily were her inspiration! She thought the world of them. They were the light of her life! She loved crossword puzzles, scrabble and visiting with friends and family. She welcomed all to her home to share a story, a laugh and a drink! A special thanks to Jan McMahon for your years of friendship and caregiving, Beverly loved you so! Also to Bruce Fhalbush, she always said you knew how to be neighborly. She looked forward to visiting with you and chatting on the phone. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 2, at 3:00pm, at the Barber Memorial Home, Inc., 428 Main St, Johnson City. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00pm until the time of the service at the Barber Memorial Home.
