Carl W. WolffDecember 30, 2017
90, went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 30, 2017. Carl had two wonderful brothers, George and Dick, with whom he was very close. Carl was a veteran in the US Army and served his country during WWII for almost two years. He graduated from General Electric’s Apprentice course and was a toolmaker at GE for 6 years before transferring to IBM, where he worked for 30 years until retirement. Carl was an active member in the churches he attended over his lifetime. He served the Lord in many ways, from teaching Sunday School to serving as a Deacon and Elder. Carl’s faith remained strong through all the ups and downs that life, in this world, had to offer. He lived a full and wonderful life. He had been married to his sweetie Doris for 65 years and had three children – Becky, Bob and Janine. He was surrounded by his loving family and a dear friend Donna, at the time of his departure. We look forward to the day when we will all be together again and be with the Lord and Savior in a perfect world. We will celebrate his life with a memorial service at the First Baptist Church of Johnson City, 1321 Reynolds Road, Johnson City on Saturday, April 21st at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, we ask that your gift be donated to the First Baptist Church of Johnson City to further their missionary work around the world.
