June Scott

June 29, 1924 ~ August 11, 2018 (age 94)

June Scott, 94, passed peacefully in her home surrounded by family on August 11, 2018.  She was predeceased by her parents George and Kathryn Burge; twin sister  and brother in law Jean and Ted Griffith; sister and brother in law Jane and George Mordia; brother and sister in law Willard and Catherine Burge; sister in law Betty Burge; great grandson David George Scott III. She leaves behind her loving husband of 74 years ("27,310 days")  Richard Sr.; daughter Mary Ellen and husband Grayson Randall; son Richard Jr. and wife Ruthie Scott; daughter Katie Scott-Hlavac and husband James Hlavac; and son David Sr and wife Penny Scott; a legacy of grandchildren including, Kim Scott; Mike Randall; Sheena Iessi; Heather and husband Kevin Oleniacz; Amanda Scott; David Jr. and wife Marci Scott; Kevin Randall; Dan Scott and wife Marie Scott; Chris and wife Carmen Scott; and Caleb Martel . Her great grandchildren Tyler Scott, Dominic Randesi, Cody Oleniacz, Connor Randall, Riley Randall, Peyton Randall, Lily Scott, Chase Oleniacz, Cecilia Scott, Anderson Scott, and Noah Scott, and many others whose lives shaped the family she loved  including several beloved nieces, nephews , friends, and caregivers. June met Richard in 1940. In 1943 during WWII they were married with only a dream to have a family that was full of love. June dedicated her life to fulfilling that dream, raising 4 wonderful children who continue to pass on the teachings of love from their mother.  June and Richard’s home has a sign over the door that reads “Harmony House." June was known for her love of singing, gift of harmony, dogs, and shopping  but more than anything her family. She was involved with many singing groups including a USO Trio with her twin sister and friend Nadine during WWII, the E.J. Chorus, and the family group ” The Generation Gaps."  A Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday at 10am at Church of The Holy Family 3600 Phyllis Street Endwell. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5-8 pm at the Barber Memorial Home, Inc. 428 Main Street Johnson City.
