passed away on December 1, 2019, in Binghamton, NY. Kathy was born in Syracuse, NY to Thomas and Anna Mae Johnson Albee on February 2nd, 1953. She attended Endwell High School and later graduated from New York University and Marywood University. Kathy worked as a teacher for the Handicap Children’s Association for 13 years. During her time there, she received her Master's in Special Education and later became the Director for the school. She loved children and all aspects of teaching. Kathy is predeceased by her mother and father, as well as her younger brother Tommy. She is survived by her long time love and Fiancé, Benjamin Vasquez; sons James (Kristen) Dinkins, Jaret (Heather) Dinkins; grandchildren Javon, Jose, Neyamya, Adyn , Mason, Ava, Mataya, Samira, and Aaliyah; sisters Karen and Chris as well as her brother Russel. Benjamin’s children and grandchildren, who looked to her as mother and grandmother, as well Elizabeth, Manuel, Eviyan, Malik, Jahira, India, Benjamin Jr and Misty Vasquez, Kameron and D'Andre. Kathy was a very loving person with an infectious personality that could win over any one. She loved to help everyone. She would put others first and go out of her way for friends and family. Everyone she touched loved her .She will be missed and remembered by all she knew. The family will receive friends on Thursday, at the Barber Memorial Home, Inc. 428 Main St, Johnson City from 4:00-7:00pm and then on Friday from 10:00am-12:00pm. A Graveside Service and Burial will follow on Friday at Hale Eddy Cemetery at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Association (www.alsa.org) in memory of Kathy.
