Phillip James Furman

June 27, 1948 ~ August 13, 2018 (age 70)

70, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018.  He was predeceased by his parents Everett and Myrtle Furman; sisters Belle, Bea; brothers Laverne and Frank.  He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Darlene “Dolly”; son Kevin and Heather Furman; 2 precious grandsons Reid and Cole; sisters Bernice (Carlton) Rockwell; Betty Lou (Denny) Bates; several nieces and nephews.  Phillip had a love for the outdoors whether it was hunting, fishing, boating on Seneca Lake, golfing or pickle ball.  He was a member of the Binghamton Boating Club for many years.   Phillip was a friend to all and would never hesitate to give you the shirt off his back.  He was always up for a good laugh or a stiff drink.  Phillip was loved by all and will be deeply missed.  A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, at 12:00, noon, at the Barber Memorial Home, Inc., 428 Main St, Johnson City.  Burial will be held in Vestal Hills Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00am until the time of the service at the Barber Memorial Home.
