Rosemary G. (Bachynski) Harris

November 11, 1935 ~ February 3, 2018 (age 82)

82, of Endwell, NY, died peacefully at home holding hands with her husband, Hank,of 62 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Nicholas and Genevieve Bachynski, and her brothers, William, Leo, Stanley and Edward Bachynski. She is survived by her husband, Henry T. Harris, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, Denise Russell (Steve Chambers), Daniel and Lindsay Pokorak, H. Thomas (Geri) Harris, Tom and Tori, Valerie (Don) Bosket, Neal and Erin Chapman, (Malloy and Rex), Paddy and Andrea Bradley, Lori (Morgan) Thurston, Sam and Max, Amy (Tim) Zavaski, Susan (Rob Dracker) and Kassie Elliott (Dakota). She is also survived by her brother, Ronald (Carole) Base, sister, Agnes Verry, sisters-in-law Myrna (Stan) Sprague and Myra (Gene) Thomas, and brother-in-law, Gerald (Sue) Harris and many nieces and nephews.    Rosemary wore many hats over her lifetime. She worked various jobs including IBM, Boscov's, McDonald's, and as a U-E bus driver. She was a founding member of OLA Church, Choir, and Endwell Community Chorus. She was a life member of the OL Davis Fire Company Auxiliary. She enjoyed being a Girl Scout leader and CYO coach. Ro was an avid bowler, local secretary of 15 years for the WIBC and was inducted into the Woman’s Bowling Hall of Fame in 2000. She enjoyed family trips to Rehoboth Beach, visiting casinos, doing crossword puzzles and reading. She loved to travel and visit with her friends. Rosemary's most important role was being a loving wife, mom, grandmother and RoRo.  A Memorial Mass will be offered on Friday, at 10:00am, at the Church of the Holy Family, 3600 Phyllis St, Endwell.  The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00pm – 7:00pm at the Barber Memorial Home, Inc., 428 Main St, Johnson City.   A special thanks to all the caring people from Lourdes Hospice and our cousin, Janine, for all her support.
