Barbara J. Wall, 86, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2021 at Gulfside Hospice Center, Zephyrhills, FL. She is predeceased by her parents, Kenneth J. and Mary “Gert” (McLaughlin) Wall, her brothers Kenneth R. Wall, James Wall and David Wall; sisters-in-law Marilyn Wall and Francis Wall; great-great nephew Kaden Hughes, several aunts, uncles, cousins and best friend Renate Klein. Barbara was a proud aunt to ten surviving nieces and nephews, Rick Wall, Fayetteville, AR; Kathy Brearley, Raleigh, NC; Nancy Woytek, New Port Richey, FL; Donna Wall, Holiday, FL; Mary Whitehead, New Port Richey, FL; Don Wall, Rockledge, FL; Linda Krauss, Palm Bay, FL; Sharon Dresden, Rockledge, FL; Cathy Keep, Lisle, NY; Dave Wall, Binghamton, NY; 24 great- and 18 great-great nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Mary Wall, Rockledge, FL, cousins Mary Jane (McLaughlin) Paterniti, Maine, NY and William McLaughlin, Endwell, NY and John McLaughlin, Titusville, FL. Barbara graduated from Binghamton North High School and received an Associate in Applied Science degree from Broome County Community College. Following graduation, she worked for Dr. McKeeby family medicine in Binghamton, NY. She relocated to the west side of Manhattan, NY where she lived for nearly 60 years and had a long career working at NY-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell in clinical hematology for 35 years and served as Chief Technologist until retirement in 2001. After retirement she worked at the Medical College as a researcher until 2013. Barbara loved the “city”, enjoyed family sightseeing visits, the theater, dining out and was a regular at The Morning Star restaurant on 9th Ave where a seat at the counter was reserved for her. She spent holidays in her hometown Binghamton, NY with family and enjoyed annual Black Friday shopping and frequented the Little Venice restaurant. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, August 27th at 11:30am at Calvary Cemetery, 501 Fairview Street, Johnson City.
