He served in the US Navy from 1958 to 1960.   He was employed by IBM in Owego for 28 years.  After his retirement from IBM, he worked at Lockheed Martin, and then started a business “Dan’s Lawn Service.” He worked at the Johnson City Middle School in the cafeteria and snack bar where the kids referred to him as “Dan the Ice Cream Man.”  Dan was an active man who enjoyed nature and being outdoors. He was a hunter, fisherman, pistol target competitor, gardener, walker, hiker, camper, boater, and cook.  He was an active member at SS Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church and volunteered as an usher at mass, BINGO, CHOW, and church picnics. Dan was often found at Wegmans having his morning coffee with his friends and cousins.  Dan loved his family; he loved to joke and dance and always had a smile on his face. When anyone said good bye to him he would say “see you in church.”  Dan is now united in heaven with his wife and true love, Barbara.
