Obituary

Elizabeth S. Wiley, age 100, of Denver, North Carolina, passed away peacefully with family at her side, on December 25, 2020. She was born in Ballston Spa, New York in 1920. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Wiley, of 61 years, in 2002 and is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Douglas and Pamela Wiley of Marshfield, Mass;  daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ken Phelps of Denver, N.C.; predeceased by her daughter Carol Hubbard. She had 7 grand children, 12 great grand children. She graduated from Dennison University in Granville, Ohio with a degree in Physical Education and was a volunteer at several hospitals, Girl Scouts and her church. A private memorial service will be held for the family at a later date. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery in Endicott, New York. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are being made by Barber Memorial Home, Inc., 428 Main St., Johnson City, New York.
