Obituary

Frank J. Skies Jr. of Johnson City, went to be with his Lord at home on Dec. 17th, 2020. His wish  was to live out his life in the home he shared with his wife Joann for 40+ years. This was accomplished with the help from his daughter and son-in-law Donna & Paul Parsons, who lovingly helped care for him to the very end. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather , and uncle. Frank was born in Scranton, Pa on  December 26th, 1931, to Frank J. And Helen Kamaruskas Skies. He married Joann Skies on Sept. 10th, 1977 who predeceased him  July 11, 2013. He also was predeceased by his parents and  brother, Edward Skies. Frank is survived by his children , Marilyn R. Skies ( Endicott),Rev. Frank E. & Kaye Skies( Bellefonte, Pa), Michael Egnotovich ( Endicott), and Donna & Paul Parsons ( Endwell). Grandchildren: Kari ( Frank) Mead of St. Hedwig, Texas, Joshua ( Christy) Norman of Shelby, Ohio, Connor ( Brittany) Parsons of Vestal, and Evan Parsons of Endwell. Great grandchildren, Franklin & Kearsi Mead, Conner, Piper, & Tayler Norman, and Alannah & Tommy Parsons who were his joy. He is also survived by his sister in law, Mary Jane Skies, nieces Sandra ( Steve) Ludwig, Sharon (Mike)Bochnovich, and Nephew Steve ( Jillann)Skies, great niece , Jillian Bochnovich, and great nephews, Michael Bochnovich, Eddie Skies and special neighbors Sherry & Ron Bailey. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church, and Eucharistic minister for Lourdes Hospital. He retired from Elliott Manufacturing as a machinist. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday December 22, 2020 at 10:30am at St. James Church Johnson City.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
