Kendra Rain Billado, was born in Kentucky but lived in Maine, NY with her family. She passed away unexpectedly at the age of 17, on 12/27/22, in her home. She is survived by her mom, Elizabeth Billado, and her siblings, Addison, Evalina, & Waylon Billado. Kendra is also survived by her nurse, Lisa Picard. Lisa did a fabulous job advocating for Kendra and putting in the effort to build a relationship with her. Kendra was not quick to trust anyone, but Lisa stuck it out for Kendra, and truly loved her. Kendra was a light to every single person she knew. She truly embodied what happiness was. Her smile was special to everyone who got to see it, and her spirit was spunky and bright. Kendra loved going to her day program, the BOCES PALS-MOVES program. This program pushed Kendra and allowed her to be able to interact with peers of her age. Kendra was also known for her clapping, her love for shenanigans, and giggles. I believe that Kendra is truly a special lesson if you had the chance to recognize and witness it. If you showed up to care for her, she loved you genuinely. It was never about what you had to offer her, she just loved you for being yourself and in turn, she is deeply loved and missed. The family will receive friends on Friday from 3-5pm at the Barber Memorial Home, 428 Main Street Johnson City.
