Obituary

Formerly of Binghamton, NY went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 27, 2021 in Punta Gorda, Fl.  He was predeceased by his parents, Leland B Moses and Vera Gaige Moses, sister Leora Clark, wives, Helen Frederick Moses and Marguerite Funderburg Moses.  He is Survived by his son Kenneth J Moses of Punta Gorda, Fl, grandsons Kenneth J Moses, Jr (Lindsey) of Estero, FL, Kevin B Moses (Sasha) of Miami, FL great granddaughters Gia and Jenna Moses of Estero, FL many nephews and nieces. He was employee number 24 at Universal Instruments Corporation where he spent his entire 40 year career. Moe served as Justice of the Peace and a Town of Binghamton Councilman. He was an active volunteer fireman for more than 20 years. He held many positions in the Hawleyton United Methodist Church, and made seven trips as a mission volunteer to Haiti.   He humbly planted many seeds of love and hope in all he came in contact with.   Many were drawn to Christ through the example he set by the way he lived his life.  He was a survivor of the Battle of the Bulge.  Very proudly, he served his country during World War ll in the 254th Combat Engineers. Immediately upon his honorable discharge in February 1946, he reenlisted in 3012 Combat Engineer Battalion based in Binghamton, NY.  Serving there until 1952.  He was active in the Boy Scouts, Masons Lodge No. 0117, Kalurah Temple of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, Veterans of Foreign Wars post 1611, American Legion, National United Methodist Campers and a life member of the Veterans of the Battle of Bulge.  A celebration of life will be held on February 7, 2021 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon in the Life Center of the 1st United Methodist Church, Punta Gorda, FL.   The service will be live streamed through: youtube.com/1stunitedmethodistchurch
