On 11-12-22 Len fell asleep in the Lord and woke to the Glory of God. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Lorrie; stepchildren Lisa and Thomas (Anita) Black; grandchildren William (Abbi) Bennett, Dawna (Ben) Ross, Kelsey (Josh) and Kaylin Black; great grandchildren Jesse, Jayce, and Jade Bennett, Benjamin and Alexandria Ross and number six due in April. He is also survived by his sister Dorothy (Andy) Kielb and his brother Norbert (Linda) Starr and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter Angela Starzynski, parents Anthony and Stella, sister Florence Dzieken, brothers Anthony and Richard Starzynski. Len proudly served in the US Army from 1959 to 1961. The majority of his working career was in retail management. He will be remembered for his love of the Buffalo Bills and Sabres and his love for playing so many sports. He pitched in a fast pitch league for over 25 years, played hockey in a no check league for over 25 years and bowled in many leagues carrying an above 200 average throughout, golfed in many leagues, worked part time at Conklin Players Club and was an off ice official and usher at the Veterans Memorial Arena after retirement. He was also a referee for high school hockey and an umpire for softball games. Len’s love for his children and grandchildren was evident to all who knew him; he was the biggest kid of all. He will be sorely missed by his family especially by “his sunshine” Lorrie. A Memorial Service will be held at Grace Point Church 3701 Vestal Road, Vestal on Saturday December 10, 2022 at 12:00 Noon. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:30am until the time of the service. Our deepest gratitude to all the staff at the NYS Veterans Home in Oxford NY for the excellent care given to Len. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Len’s memory to the Association of Frontotemporal Degeneration/Dementia (AFTD) 2700 Horizon Drive Suite 120 King of Prussia PA 19406. Len no longer walks by faith, he walks by sight in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
