She is also survived by 8 great, great grandchildren, Kieren, Raelynn, Navayah, Bentley, Laighlah, Leighton, Skylar and Mickey.

Throughout her life she truly loved each and every one of the above and showed it with her many acts of kindness and smiles.

Margaret was born on a farm in Itaska, NY and married the “boy down the road”.  Mom and Dad lived in Florida during his military service.  Returning after WWII, they bought the family home in West Windsor in 1953, where they resided the rest of their lives.

Margaret was the “home maker” personified.  She always worked hard at everything she did, sewing, cooking, laundry, gardening, canning, church activities and so much more.  She was proud of her beautiful flowers, many grown simply from just a leaf.

Our Mom really gave herself to EVERYBODY.  If there was a baby within ten feet she immediately wanted it in her arms.

Life in her later years at Hilltop was a blessing. And, per Mom’s often spoken words, “The food is good!”  Our whole family would like to sincerely thank the entire Star staff who cared for and loved our Mom.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00am, on Monday, August 1st at the Windsor First United Methodist Church, at 56 Chapel St., Windsor, NY  13865.  The Family will receive friends and relatives from 9:00-10:45am.  If you’re able to attend, it was Mom’s wish that you wear something bright and cheery.

A luncheon will be held after the service.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Church.
