Shirley Mae Martin (Boyer)

1924-2022 Age 97, died Tuesday January 25 at her home in Tamarac, FL.

Arrangements thru Barber Memorial Home, Inc., internment at Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott, NY.

Born Sept. 10, 1924 at the Endicott Johnson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY.

Graduated from Johnson City High School 1943.

Places she worked: Fowler Dick & Walker Dept. Store, Binghamton; Westover's Remington Rand Propeller Division Personnel Office; Dental Assistant for Dr. Sloan, EJ Medical Center; EJ Shoe Co. Montgomery Ward Dept., Johnson City.

Married Rodman John Boyer on April 12, 1947 at All Saints Episcopal Church, Johnson City, NY. Divorced in 1980 and shortly thereafter she moved and settled in "Her beautiful state of Florida".

Preceded in death by her parents William Anthony Martin (Marcinkevicius) and Louise Ellis, brothers Jack and Jerry Martin, daughter Rodene Boyer. Survived by her sons Brent and Dane Boyer, daughter Marla Rushton, son-in-law Darrell Rushton, daughter Rebel Briggs Winters, grandson Branden Boyer and his mother, Nancy McCoon, granddaughter Amber Twar and her husband Christopher Twar, great grandson Nathan Twar.

She was a very people oriented person, open, caring and supportive, always available to listen, sharing and full of helpful guidance if requested. She went above and beyond what was expected without even knowing it. A beautiful woman in looks and soul with a great singing voice. She must be a most welcomed addition to the angels in heaven.
